Takahashi Scarce Female Green Kingfisher Bird Pin

You can find this darling Kingfisher by a stream or river keeping a watchful eye for his next meal. The Green Kingfisher is widely distributed from the southern United States, where it is found only in south Texas and Arizona, south through Middle America and South America, as far south as central Argentina. The female, unlike the male, does not have a red breast. Hand painted and hand carved, this bird exhibits beautiful artistry by Yoneguma and Kiyoka Takahashi. The legs and feet are made from twisted copper wire and are attached it a small wood branch. Accompanied by original box and card.
