Miriam Haskell Wood Bead and Stars Dress Clip
SKU: 5593Colorful woods beads in round, bell and floral forms are beautifully combined on this lovely WWII era Miriam Haskell dress clip. With a restriction on the use of metals during that time, plastic was used on the dress clip to hold the beads with cotton thread. A wonderful example of war era jewelry and the materials used during that time.
Miriam Haskell began business in 1926 in New York City and the company continues making jewelry today. Miriam Haskell is one of the most recognizable names in vintage costume jewelry collecting with many pieces highly sought after. Signatures did not appear on the jewelry until the late 1940s but unsigned pieces have specific characteristics making identification possible.
