Toshikane Japan Arita Porcelain Pegasus Vintage Tie Tack Pin

Toshikane was established in historic porcelain town of Arita in the early 1930s. The production facility was relocated toward the end of the decade. Although the location changed, their pieces are still considered Arita porcelain.

It wasn’t until after World War II that Toshikane began producing the porcelain buttons and jewelry. These would become unmistakably identifiable as their work. These exquisite pieces are now sought-after the world of vintage jewelry.

This tie tack pin is a stunning example of Toshikane’s artistry. It features a detailed Pegasus design with an aqua glaze and hand-painted gold accents. The Pegasus is set against a charcoal black porcelain background. The piece is beautifully framed in silver and comes complete with its original Toshikane box, clutch, and safety chain.
