The more rare and slow growing Sardonyx shell, also known as the Queen's Helmet Conch, is expertly carved creating a profile of an elegantly beautiful woman. The foreground is a bright white with a chocolate background. Her locks are adorned with flowers as soft curls frame her face. With a Greek toga style, her dress is draped at her shoulder. Suspended from a lengthy gold filled chain, a simple brass frame holds the cameo.
