Beautifully hand forged, this brass leaf necklace is wonderfully organic in presentation. Seeming to be influenced by Art Nouveau motifs, the leaves curve and wind around the necklace in its entirety. Where the necklace differs from that era's jewelry, is the generous size as it does make a statement. Each leaf is given depth by verdigris with darkened recesses and is lacquered to protect the metal.
Although unsigned, this incredible necklace looks to have been created by the Yugoslavian born artist, Joseph Boris. He created his wearable art from 1975-1990s and each piece is truly unique.
