With vibrant colors, the male Costa's hummingbird's bright plumage was expertly painted by Kiyoka Takahashi and the body was finely carved by her husband, Yoneguma. The legs and feet are made from twisted copper wire and are attached to a small wood branch. Because each bird is hand painted and carved, each one is unique. Truly wearable art. Accompanied by original box and card.
The desert is the Costa's hummingbirds habit in Arizona and California when it nests in the late winter in the spring.
