SKU: 8495One of the most popular expressions of sentimentality during the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries was wearing jewelry that contained hair of a loved one. These pieces were worn as a memorial or as a love token.
This wonderful late Georgian era example has woven hair of a loved one is gently shielded under beveled glass. The frame is composed of pearls accompanied by garnets securely held in a 14k setting. The nine garnets are round cut with faceted edges and flat tops. A wonderful example of jewelry from the Georgian time period.
