Art Deco 14k Diamond Lab Sapphire Pin Brooch
SKU: 8247Intricate open metal work creates this wonderful Art Deco era bar pin. In the center, a diamond appears with a millegrain frame accompanied by sapphires on each side. Three cuts were expertly added to each sapphire to construct the illusion of four invisibly set stones when there is just one. The pin top is mostly like platinum over 14k yellow gold which is common for the time. However it cannot be easily tested to confirm.
The pin hails from the J.A. & S.W. Granbery company operating in Newark, New Jersey. They manufactured 10k and 14k jewelry during the very late 1800s and first quarter of the 1900s.
