Massively Gorgeous Rhinestone Brooch, Max Muller
SKU: 8506This stunning pin has been attributed to the German jeweler, Max Muller. Although there is agreement with the attribution, it is not absolute. This means there is not a signed version and there is not much information available on the characteristics of the jewelry produced by this talented jeweler. The quality and complexity of construction is on par with Schreiner jewelry.
His work is featured in Mode Und Modeschmuck 1920-1970 / Fashion and Jewelry 1920-1970. The intricate wire work, layering, and quality design work is very apparent. There are two pieces in particular that greatly resemble this piece in construction and general look.
The second of Max Muller's businesses opened in 1946 in Kaufbeuren Neugablonz. From there, he created costume jewelry for film industry stars with a client list that included Marlene Dietrich and Sophia Loren. Film producers also commissioned him to make jewelry for historical epics. Today his jewelry is extremely rare.
This floral display pin has four layers with some that include intricate and labor intensive wire work. A complex arrangement of marquise, round, baguette, tear drop and round rhinestones create a sparkling presentation. The generous size adds to the impressiveness of this creation. It is truly something to behold.
