Art Deco Theodor Fahrner Sterling Silver Vermeil and Turquoise Bracelet
SKU: 9051Theodor Fahrner Sr. founded the company as a small family-run business, which would go on to leave a lasting mark on the world of jewelry design. After his passing in 1883, his son, Theodor Fahrner, took over the leadership of the company. Over the years, many talented designers contributed to the brand’s distinctive and evolving aesthetic. Tragically, Fahrner passed away in 1919, but the company continued to flourish, producing exceptional jewelry well into the 1970s.
While the Theodor Fahrner company is best known for its iconic Art Deco pieces, its body of work spans a variety of artistic styles. Particularly noteworthy are its Jugendstil creations (Germany’s interpretation of Art Nouvea) crafted around the turn of the 20th century. After the 1930s, Fahrner introduced an elegant filigree style, exemplified by this exquisite bracelet.
Dating from the post-1930s period, this bracelet features intricate sterling silver metalwork with a rich gold overlay. At its center, a turquoise cabochon is set within each pierced quatrefoil motif. The design reflects strong Etruscan influences, evident in the detailed granulation and delicate wirework, showcasing the masterful blend of historical inspiration and modern craftsmanship.
This bracelet is designed for a petite fit, with an inner circumference of approximately 6-1/4 inches. Hinged opening with a safely clasp at the closure.
