Victorian Ceylon 2.35ct Sapphire and Diamond 14k Gold RingSKU: 8408
A vivid blue no heat Ceylon sapphire radiates from the center of this stunning Victorian ring. The 2.35ct antique cushion stone is encircled by fourteen mine cut diamonds to form a dazzling halo. The diamonds are set in silver which is era appropriate and the remainder of the ring is comprised of 14k yellow gold. The gallery elevates the stones to allow maximum light to enter the stones. A true Victorian beauty.
The formula for white gold had yet to be discovered which led to silver being used for mounts for precious gemstones and diamonds during the Georgian and Victorian eras. As seen in this ring, the diamonds are set in silver.
