Beautifully outstretched wings extend from an expertly carved carnelian scarab. The wings are decorated with vibrant red, blue and clear plique-a-jour enamel. Marcasite accents add a bit of shimmer from the sterling silver on this truly wonderful Art Deco era pin.
With the Egyptian revival design, this example would date to the 1920s. A time when interest in Egyptian art was fueled by the 1922 discovery of King Tut's tomb.
