Coro Enamel and Rhinestone Owl Fur/Pin ClipSKU: 8358
With luminescent blue eyes, this owl peers beneath a rhinestone crown. Rhinestones also sparkle from atop each wing. Enamel beautifully decorates the bird's breast feathers, beak, feet and branch on which it perches. A wonderful example of early Coro jewelry.
Coro has a rich history of creating some of the most collected and sought after costume jewelry. The company was founded in 1901 by Carl Rosenberger and Emanuel Cohn. The name it is most known for today, Coro, was adopted in 1943. Most notable is the head designer, Gene Verricchia, from 1933 until 1963. He was responsible for many of Coro's most recognized designs. The Coro companies were in business until 1979.
